Questions about Provincials…?

We have had a bunch of questions about provincials so here are some answers ….

Gymnastics Ontario has just released the age groupings finalized for this year they are:

  • Level 9
    • Age 11-14
    • Age 15+
  • Level 8
    • Age 11-12
    • Age 13-14
    • Age 15+
  • Level 7
    • Age 9-10
    • Age 11-12
    • Age 13-14
    • Age 15+
  • Level 6
    • Age 9-10
    • Age 11-12
    • Age 13-14
    • Age 15+
  • Level 5
    • Age 9-11
    • Age 12-13
    • Age 14+
  • Level 4
    • Age 9-10
    • Age 11
    • Age 12
    • Age 13
    • Age 14+
  • Level 3
    • Age 9
    • Age 10
    • Age 11
    • Age 12-13
    • Age 14+

We will be working on adjusting our age grouping to reflect this over this coming week.

In terms of qualifying Gymnastics Ontario has also released the tentative schedule for 6-10 Championships. This is available on their website under Events and you will see the tentative schedule.

Assuming each flight is 32 athletes it looks like some age ranges will have 3 flights (so 96 athletes will qualify) where smaller age groupings will have the traditional 32 and only 1 flight.

The tentative schedule for Levels 3-5 has also been released by Gymnastics Ontario (found on the same Event’s calendar as the above).

As above assume each flight is 32 athletes there is a range of 32 – 96 qualifying athletes.

As a reminder if you are going to let us know about missing info please include the level, age and competition. This will speed up our corrections.

Also to those who sent feedback our apologies it was a busy week and we are just getting to the comments now. So this newest update may not reflect your missing info but we are on it and will update soon.

Hello everyone,

All pages are updated.

We would like to thank everyone for your feedback on errors you find however we have one request.

Please when you find an error let us know which level and if applicable which age range you found the error.

This speeds up the process for us to find and correct the errors much much faster.

Can you believe it!

Gymnastics

As we start another gymnastics season it seems hard to believe that the season looks relatively normal at this point! It feels like it’s been forever since a normal season.

Congratulations to all those who competed this past weekend at Canada Winter Games Trials and at the Tour Qualifier in Burlington.

As the season is upon us we will be moving things around to set up for the new season.

Please remember that we are parent volunteers and are not associated with Gymnastics Ontario. We use the publicly available information to compile our information and so sometimes mistakes happen, age groupings can change, etc. We do our best to keep up with this but as always if you find an error let us know and we will try to correct.

In the meantime please have patience as we update the site and prepare for the season.

Questions and maybe some answers

So we have had a lot of questions recently about where we get our information. We are a community of individuals and every gym and club have different approaches so across the province different people have different information. Your club may not share something but another may. What we do is take all the information provided to us and provide it out to everyone else. If we are incorrect, we fix it, if we get misinformation we fix that too.

So if you have information that isn’t represented here and you want it to be, let us know.

If you don’t know why decisions were made, we don’t either! We don’t make the decisions we just compile information as we receive it.

I hope this helps everyone to understand how clubs across the province differ and appreciate what information our community can provide and be understanding when we don’t have all the answers.

We have updated all the age groupings and reorganized the pages to reflect this.

Can’t believe we are already in April!

So hard to believe that in a normal season Championships would be upon us.

This year it looks like May and early June will be the months looking at the Gymnastics Ontario Calendar assuming nothing changes.

So strange to have such a short but long season.
